This article should be moved (or renamed) to the full name of the company (as opposed to the acronym). This is general Wikipedia policy, IIRC. If no one objects, I'll do it myself.DoomBringer 2 July 2005 06:00 (UTC)

Actually, this should have remained at WACO, at least according to the current naming conventions, which say, "Avoid the use of acronyms in page naming unless the term you are naming is almost exclusively known only by its acronyms and is widely known and used in that form" (emphasis added). This is definitely true of WACO. So, this needs sorting out. I'll get to it eventually, but if someone else wants to do it, good. As this use of WACO is much more common than those on the current disambiguation page, it seems that this article should go back to WACO, with a redirect here (at Weaver Aircraft Company of Ohio), and some sort of redirect at the beginning of this article, either to the two alternate possibilities (radio stations), or to the WACO (disambiguation) page. —SkipperPilot 14:41, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] I agree, SkipperPilot.

WACO is never referred to as Weaver Aircraft, particularly in Troy OH. I grew up in a home in front of the factory, which is located on Waco Street in Troy, and occupied since the closure of the WACO company in 1947 by Goodrich Corporation, then BF Goodrich Aerospace and Defense. My father worked in the facility from 1951 until 1973. Forgive me if I feel a little proprietary toward this article.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by PSzymeczek (talkcontribs) 03:10, 23 April 2007 (UTC).
