Talk:WCRB

[edit] Why did you put the article back on?
This is not an encyclopedia article. Many music critics haven't been calling WCRB, a classical music radio station for few years, I am sorry.
- What do you mean, "this is not an encyclopedia article"? Of course it is; it's not patent nonsense and it's informative. Plus, I personally LISTEN to WCRB (my car's radio is preset channel 1 as 102.5 FM, which is WRCB.) Your logic escapes me. Linuxbeak | Talk | Desk July 6, 2005 16:12 (UTC)
- Also, you're supposed to go through channels -- Votes for Deletion -- to get rid of an article. Blanking it only annoys people. Haikupoet 6 July 2005 19:05 (UTC)
[edit] Listeners
- I also listen to WCRV Classical and have it pre-set in my car, on my clock radio in the morning and listen while I am cooking dinner. I am annoyed that a Country Music station is displacing it from a better frequency. I think it is awful but I would not want to lose the station permanantly either.
I am glad this article is available so I could understand what has happened to WCRB. I can get it fine on my car radio but not on any of the four radios in my house. I used to wake up to music, now it is all talk, talk, talk on WGBH. Any way in which the signal can be altered at the level of one of our radios so we can pick it up?
- If any of the radios have a provision for an external antenna, you might try adding one. Also try different placement of the radios and their power cords. If the power cord is bunched up, undo it and move it around. Good luck!--agr 16:58, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Changes not for the better
I was really annoyed when they swapped antennas, as I live south of Boston and no longer get acceptable reception on an analog table radio, which worked fine when the antenna was in Waltham. And I'm not about to buy an expensive Bose radio that they keep hyping. I don't care for Laura Carlo; she should just shut up and play the music instead of prattling on the way she does.
All in all, I hate the changes that have occurred. Lots of cheesy ads for gold coins and other crap. It's all about the money though. I hope everyone who profited by the changes gets sick and die, and I don't care what anyone thinks about it either.
