WCAP (AM)

WCAP operates on 980 AM and is located on Central Street in Lowell, Massachusetts. The station began operation in 1951, and was until 2007 owned by founder Maurice Cohen (his brother, Israel, a co-founder, is now deceased). The Station is now owned by Merrimack Valley Radio, LLC [1]

WCAP is a News/Talk station offering both local and national talk programs.

WCAP's seasonal programming also includes live broadcasts of Lowell Devils hockey and Lowell Spinners baseball.
