Wayland Drew

Wayland Drew, born in Oshawa, Ontario in 1932, received his early education in the community. He studied English language and literature at the University of Toronto, and before he had began to write seriously in high school. His first novel (and sometimes stated best) was The Wabeno Feast though surely he is best know for the Erthing Cycle and a Novel spinoff of the scrennplay Willow. He taught at Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School (BMLSS). He taught at the high school for 11 years, he has 4 children and a wife Gwendolyen. He never saw the new Millennia as he died December 1998.
