[edit] Re: Dubbo page

have a look at the discussion at the talk page for the dubbo entry and see what you think. Thanks Wayne Connor

Hello Wayne. Take a look at Wikipedia:External_links, particularly the sections Links normally to be avoided and Advertising and conflicts of interest. Does anything there apply to http://www.dubbo.org? Gimboid13 09:21, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: conflict of interest

Yes Gimbold, I checked this out and It is a conflict of interest. I did place a link to my own site, I didn't realise there was policy not to do this.
Anyway, in line with this policy I have said on the talk page I will not place the link back up, and if anyone else thought it was a good link they could place it up there.
Someone has placed it back up.
The problem now is that this person is editing the talk page and they removed my comments there too. I reverted these. I have asked for semi-protect. Is that too over the top? Else I will wait a week or month and see if this person stops.
I'm happy for the link not to be there, I'm just not happy for it not to be there on the basis of one person's view only.
Thanks for the help.
