Waterloo is a city in Jefferson County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 3,259 at the 2000 census. The city is located within the Town of Waterloo along the Maunesha River.
The city is home to the headquarters of Trek Bicycle Corporation, one of the world's leading bicycle producers.

Waterloo is located at (43.18366, -88.989965)[3].
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.9 square miles (10.2 km²), of which, 3.9 square miles (10.1 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it (0.51%) is water.

As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 3,259 people, 1,242 households, and 844 families residing in the city. The population density was 834.1 people per square mile (321.8/km²). There were 1,293 housing units at an average density of 330.9/sq mi (127.7/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.26% White, 0.52% Black or African American, 0.21% Native American, 0.31% Asian, 3.80% from other races, and 0.89% from two or more races. 7.36% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 1,242 households out of which 36.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.9% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 32.0% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.10.
In the city the population was spread out with 27.3% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 32.9% from 25 to 44, 20.0% from 45 to 64, and 11.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 98.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.8 males.
The median income for a household in the city was $49,221, and the median income for a family was $56,027. Males had a median income of $35,712 versus $24,732 for females. The per capita income for the city was $22,099. About 2.6% of families and 5.1% of the population were below the poverty line, including 4.4% of those under age 18 and 11.1% of those age 65 or over.
