Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council

The Water Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) is an international organization administered by the World Health Organisation. Its mission is to

enhance collaboration in the water supply and sanitation sector to accelerate the achievement of sustainable water, sanitation and waste management services to all people, with special attention to the unserved poor, by enhancing collaboration among developing countries and external support agencies and through concerted action programmes.

The organisation organises global fora where sector professionals from developing and developed countries may meet and exchange information. The first such global forum took place in Oslo, in 1991. Since then, there have been five meetings, the most recent one in Kyoto, in 2003.
