[edit] Origin and recording
It features lyrics written by frontman Eddie Vedder and music written by guitarist Stone Gossard. The only performers on "Wasted Reprise" are Vedder and organist Boom Gaspar.
[edit] Composition
The track is the shortest song on the album, running for less than a minute. The song is a reprise of the first track "Life Wasted" and features the last eight lines of "Life Wasted" as the lyrics. It is a lot slower and more subtle.
[edit] Live performances
The song was premiered live at the band's May 10, 2006 concert in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1] Pearl Jam sometimes play "Wasted Reprise" before playing "Life Wasted" in live sets. A live performance of "Wasted Reprise" can be found on the Live at the Gorge 05/06 box set.
