Wasfia Nazreen (born in Bangladesh) is an activist, writer and photojournalist. She is a high profile Tibet activist, and the first Bangladeshi to have ever worked with the Exiled-Tibetan community. Her profile peaked at the Spring of 2007, when her article "Mcleodganj Clash: A Non-Tibetan's Reflections" caused riots in the Northern Territory of India. It was first published in http://www.phayul.com, the first and largest growing Tibetan News Archive. The Indian Authorities asked for her writing to be removed immediately, which subsequently got published by numerous Tibet-support groups world-wide.
She divides her time between San Francisco, Dharamsala and Bangladesh.
