[edit] Dubtown
Several residents of Washington refer to the whole of the city as Dubtown. The origins of the name are debateable, however, many believe it to be a spoof of modern rap artists interest in vehicle modification. Also, Washington is divided into two separate districts informally agreed upon by its denizens. The first being the East Side. The East side is a more of a privilaged neighborhood, and has a lower crime level. The second of the districts is called The West End. The West End is the older half of residential homes, the people here are not exactly disrespected by the community but are recognized as possibly being poorer than their eastern counterparts. Farther west lies a subsidiary community named BoxTown. Commonly miscredited to people living with cardboard boxes as walls and roofs, the durogatory nickname was actually provided by earlier citizens of the glorius railway years. BoxTown is named after the railway wanders and hobos that needed places to sleep. With nothing truly avialable- they slept in older abandoned railcars. Thusly giving birth to the term of the older and considerably poorer Boxtown.
I'd like to clean that up and put it back in the article with different wording. Cdwillis 05:10, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
