Warrenheip is a closed station located in the town of Warrenheip, on the Serviceton railway line in Victoria, Australia. The Geelong-Ballarat line junctions off at the down end of the former station.
The line though the station opened in 1862, on the double track railway from Geelong to Ballarat.[1] The station opened in 1873, becoming a junction in 1879 when a branch line was built towards Gordon station, the direct line to Melbourne not completed until 1889.[2] The station was one of 35 closed to passenger traffic on October 4, 1981 as part of the New Deal timetable for country passengers.[3] In 1995 the double line from Ballarat to Warrenheip was converted to two parallel and independent lines, and the junction abolished. An unattended crossing loop remains on the line to Geelong.[4]
