Ward M. Hussey

Ward Hussey drafted the principal part of the United States Federal income tax laws beginning before the enactment of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. He was appointed to the Office of the Legislative Counsel in November 1946 and served as the Legislative Counsel for the U.S. House of Representatives for 17 years.

On March 1st 1989 the 101st Congress passed a resolution honoring his service (H. Res. 97).
