I don't care what it says on the Arkive page - even though its cited, its wrong. The english common name comes from the ancient english tradition of using the crickets to remove warts. Do you really think we'd give a common name to one of our insects centuries ago based on what the Swedes did with it? It was a common practice across Europe, not specifically Swedish. 86.137.136.196 08:48, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
