Walter Ransom Gail Baker (1892-1960) was an electrical engineer.
He was born in Lockport, New York, in 1892 and graduated in electrical engineering from Union College in Schenectady, New York in 1916. He received a Master's degree in electrical engineering, also from Union College, in 1919. He took a job with General Electric in 1916 and worked on radio for military applications during the World War I
