The "Walk-off" is a frowned upon parking practice in urban areas, where no or not enough free parking space is available. The practice involves parking at a nearby business parking structure free of charge, and then "walking off" the premises to shop somewhere else, where no free parking is provided or available.
"Walk-offs" are typically not tolerated by the businesses providing parking space for their customers. In some urban areas, "Walk-offs" face hefty fines and even risk to get their cars towed, according to some parking signs.
