Waldo Ponce (born April 12, 1982) is a Chilean footballer, who currently plays for Argentine club Vélez Sársfield. His debut came in 2001 and he quickly became a regular in the back line.

Ponce was the contracted by Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg at the young age of 21. He stayed with the team for two years until making his return to the "U". After 2 seasons in the German team, Waldo Ponce return to the "U", where he has reached the final of the tournament Clausura 2005 (lost in this final decisive penalty, plugged by Jose Maria Buljubasich). He has appeared in 90 games with the "U" and has scored 5 goals.

He has participated in friendlies for the year 2006, including the Pacific Cup, which took Chilean national team , winning 3-2 in Viña del Mar, and then 1-0 in Tacna, in a friendly against Paraguay where part one of the 3 goals with which Chile won 3-2, his goal was free
