Waldir Pires

Francisco Waldir Pires de Sousa (Acajutiba, October 21, 1926) is a politician of Brazil. He is the former Minister of Defence for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva,[1] He was fired due to gross incompetence and inaction during Brazil's aviation crisis of 2006-2007 [2]. He was replaced by Former Supreme Court President Nelson Jobim[3]
