[edit] Headline text

When my dad arived in 1909 the city of Walnut had only 1 resident and all were white. It's good to see the city grow, but I hope it doesn't grow too big. What used to be a city know for ranching is now a town with a lot of big-bussiness warehouses now. Today there isn't much room in the city for children like me to play sports like baseball, so now video games have picked up where sandlot baseball was forced to leave off, making America's youth wider around the waist.

Don't get overly rosy. In Walnut, strip malls have been built here and there. Walnut has seen the building of more upscale housing for families and their overprivileged larva. Traffic is getting heavier. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 172.194.189.28 (talk) 20:49, 6 January 2007 (UTC).
