Describing Beowulf as having "a Christianized gloss" is a quite dogmatic statement on a disputable matter. I changed to "Christian varnish" to avoid gloss; but surely there is a way to make this point without opening the whole Beowulf question? Septentrionalis PMAnderson 18:04, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
