The Waikato Institute of Technology (WINTEC) is a technological learning institute based in Hamilton, New Zealand. It has 2 main campuses in Hamilton, (Main City Campus -including two floors in the "Tower Building", located off the main campus site- & Avalon Campus), an Auckland Campus, Thames Campus and Te Kuiti Campus.

According to the WINTEC website, in the year 2006 there were 26,812 enrolled students, 6,469 of them were full time students [EFTS] and 1,605 graduates.

Students studying at WINTEC are members of, and represented by, the Students' Association of (the) Waikato Institute of Technology (SAWIT).
