Medicare Part d Simplified

I'm no expert on Medicare part d, but with the number of seniors I have worked with over the last 7 years, I developed a simplified explanation to help them understand how to co-relate their prescription drug expenses to what would be covered by Medicare part d.

Government prescription drug insurance can save a person quite a bit of money IF the correct plan is chosen. When Medicare part d was introduced in May 2006 we were flooded with calls for help.

One of the most important things about this plan is to choose carefully. In some cases an insured senior must pay full retail if one or more of their medications are not covered by their chosen plan.

Many explanations are too technical and do not cut to the heart of the matter, which is to save money on prescription medications.
