- Is that from that source again? Whatever it is, it definitely wasn't "Vung Tau". The literal reading of it is "Đầu Đốn". This name needs to be somehow incorporated into the article or these characters should be removed. DHN (talk) 23:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I don't know the answer to why the pronunciation is different. Maybe remove it here until we get clarification from old sources? Badagnani (talk) 23:39, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Looking again, I see that they assign that set of two characters to Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, not just Vung Tau. Badagnani (talk) 23:48, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
