VTI Technologies is a company in Finland that was founded as a spin-off from the company Vaisala Oy, a market leader in meteorology. VTI was founded to industrialize and further develop Vaisala's MEMS technology in automotive applications. VTI has become the market leader in low-g accelerometers. Low-g accelerometers, typically for 1 to 3 g full scale range, are used in:
- automotive control systems like ESC, ESP, VDC, TCS, ABS, ECS
- medical devices like cardiac pace makers
- sports, wellness and hand-held terminal applications
- avionic instruments and inclinometers
