I think slyhterin is descended from the peverells? 61.95.13.82

I think this family tree makes an unestablished assumption about the Slytherin-Gaunt family being related to the Peverell family on the mere basis of the possession of the stone by Salazar Slytherin for his ring. How does one modify this illustration? Robert K S 05:08, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

We now know that Voldemort decends from the Peverell family:

J.K. Rowling: Yes, Harry and Voldemort are distantly related through the Peverells. Of course, nearly all wizarding families are related if you trace them back through the centuries. As was made clear in Deathly Hallows, Peverell blood would run through many wizarding families.[1]
