Vogelpark Olching

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Birdpark Olching is located in Olching, 20km north west of Munich. On 20.000 m² a wide range of different species can be found: From the little tiger finch, over cranes, storks, rehas up to many multicolored parrots are present.

Particularly the amazing area of the so called Amper River distinguishes the park from others. All aviaries have natural plants which underline the naturalness of the park. A main objective of the park association is the breeding care of native birds. Therefore a large zone is defined as a retreat area for the local wildlife.

For the visitors there is also a typical Bavarian beer garden located in the park as well as a playground for the younger guests. Operator of the birdpark is the bird lover association of Olching.

[edit] History
