[edit] The state of this article

The entire content of this page beyond the lead and list of genres resulted as a merge from the page Voice instrumental music which essentially consisted of original research since such a category does not exist to the best of my knowledge. The article attempted to describe the use of voice as an instrument. This is paradoxical since the voice by its very nature is an instrument. Much of the material consisted of examples of vocal music without lyrics and many of the more salient examples have been retained in the present article, although as a survey article, perhaps even more should be deleted.

The article as it stands is still without any content as to the history and evolution of vocal music. Granted, it's an extremely broad topic. Any help would be appreciated. MarkBuckles 05:50, 1 August 2006 (UTC) It should be renamed vocalise! Sparafucil 06:33, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
