The Vlei Rat (Otomys irroratus) is a species of rodent in the Muridae family. It is found in Lesotho, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland, swamps, and plantations .
