[edit] Stubs
Hi Vladimir2008,
Good work on all those stubs about Turkmen politicians. You did, however, also create the template {{Turkmen SSR-stub}} and the corresponding category, which is problematic for several reasons:
- Stub templates and categories are generally first proposed on this page
- The one you created only contains 14 articles, which is way too little for a seperate category to make sense
- It doesn't follow the usual stub template and category creating schemes. Usually a certain country has a general stub type (in this case {{Turkmenistan-stub}}), a stub type for people only (that kind doesn't exist for Turkmenistan yet, because there aren't enough stubs about Turkmen people yet) and sometimes even one just for the politicians of a certain country ({{Russia-politician-stub}} for example)
The fate of the stub type you created will be discussed on this page.
Thanks for your contributions,
--Carabinieri 00:00, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Stubs about Turkmen politicians should generally get the {{Turkmenistan-stub}} and {{Asia-politician-stub}} tags like I've added to Nikolay Paskutsky.--Carabinieri 00:03, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
-
- PS: It would also be great if you could add categories to the articles you create. I've done so with the Nikolay Paskutsky article.--Carabinieri 00:10, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] DC Meetup notice
Greetings. There is going to be a Washington DC Wikipedia meetup on next Saturday, July 21st at 5pm in DC. Since you are listed in Category:Wikipedians_in_Maryland, I thought I'd invite you to come. I'm sorry about the short notice for the meeting. Hopefully we'll do somewhat better in that regard next time. If you can't come but want to make sure that you are informed of future meetings be sure to list yourself under "but let me know about future events", and if you don't want to get any future direct notices \(like this one\), you can list yourself under "I'm not interested in attending any others either" on the DC meetup page.--Gmaxwell 00:27, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Friendly Heads-up
Hey, so apparently making userboxes on sports teams is a copyright infringement...they aren't allowed to have the symbol outside of their article page.
Just giving you a warning, because i knew you wanted to make userboxes on sports teams with their logos...which are totally wayyy cooler than the plain letters...but that's what we have to work with.
