Vivo Cantando

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Vivo Cantando" (English translation: "I Live Singing") was one of four winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 1969. The song was performed in Spanish for Spain by Salomé and shared first place with Lulu representing the United Kingdom with "Boom Bang-a-Bang", Lenny Kuhr representing the Netherlands with "De Troubadour" and Frida Boccara representing France with "Un Jour, Un Enfant".

The song is very up-tempo and is sung from the perspective of a woman telling her lover about the positive changes he has had on her, specifically that she now loves singing.

"Vivo Cantando" is Spain's second and last win in the Contest to date.

The song was succeeded as (joint) Contest winner in 1970 by Dana performing "All Kinds of Everything" for Ireland.
