Viscount Furness

Viscount Furness, of Grantley in the West Riding of the County of Yorkshire, was a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1918 for the businessman Marmaduke Furness, 2nd Baron Furness. The title Baron Furness, of Grantley in the West Riding of the County of Yorkshire, had been bestowed on his father, Christopher Furness, a businessman and Liberal politician. The titles became extinct on the death of the second Viscount,Anthony Furness, in 1995. The second viscount was an enthusiastic member of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, (SMOM).
