[edit] To Begin...

Err... well. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that so many userboxes would be there to cover most aspects of me o.O Anyway, yeah... I'm Rob. I've been using Wikipedia since late in primary school, and since then, for all intents and purposes (well, mine, anyway), Wikipedia has been brilliant for me. It's come in especially handy for comic book characters (of Black Panther, Sabretooth and Deadpool I am a rabid fan) and video games.

Speaking of which, most of my time is spent playing video games. Ah, I remember when I was five... Doom proved to be such a wonderful distraction. Seriously, were it not for video games, I might not have the friends, parents and stepfather that I have now. I owe the world of computer entertainment a debt. Microsoft and Sony have probably been my best of friends, along with Epic, id, Capcom and Ubisoft. My first console was a PlayStation, my first handheld was the original Game Boy and my first online game was Ultima Online.

Purely personal opinion, here we have a set of favourite game series', if not one game, for each genre:

  • Roleplaying: Baldur's Gate series
  • Real-Time Strategy: Command and Conquer series
  • Sport: Tiger Woods PGA Tour series
  • Racing: Test Drive: Unlimited
  • First-Person Shooter: Unreal Tournament series
  • Rhythm: Guiter Hero series

I think I got all the genres, but y'know, that's what my talk page's for =)

Nothing ending in 'ance'. Easy. Rap and hip-hop I can tolerate, but only a small bunch. My music is rock and metal, basically anything with a guitar being played properly. Oh, and reggae. Favourite bands include Tomahawk, Faith No More, Linkin Park, The Exies, Primus, and things of that nature. Coldplay are a general exception to my rule. They're depressing. Along with Dido. Eesh. Still, I digress. You can't have everything in life the way you want it.

Calvin and Hobbes is quite possibly the best published non-Marvel or DC comic ever, the reason I don't know the poker/Texas Hold 'Em difference is because I only play Texas Hold 'Em, even though I have a big interest in Ásatrú, I am a pure atheist, even though I'm willing to blame some divine spark for things here and there, Jeremy Soule is the best video game composer on Earth and yes, I do believe in Communism.
