Violent Society (band)

Violent Society is a punk rock band that formed in 1990. The band was based out of Philadelphia, PA. Known for playing a style of punk that appealed to a variety of audiences, including fans of pop punk, hardcore punk, and late-70s style UK punk. The band stopped playing together in 2003, following a show in Roanoke, VA.
The band has toured nationally and internationally numerous times, travelling alongside such acts as Kill Your Idols, The Unseen, The Casualties, GBH, and Subhumans.
Former band members are now involved in two other projects. Pat (VS vocalist) and Jason (VS drummer) now play in Cranked Up!. Mike (VS guitarist) and Squid (VS second guitarist and later, bassist) now play in The Vote. Ed (former bassist) played in The Deadly for a brief period before their first EP was released.
