"Composer-violinists were common in the Baroque era - all played the violin excellently." Is it just me, or does this read a little OTT? Nevilley 10:58, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Yes, I think it's important enough to have it in the article. Maybe not the identified part, but...oh well. (Wish I was on the list of violinists! ;)--ViolinGirl♪ 18:06, 3 January 2006 (UTC)

I was doing some coarse work on a violinist and on most other things this sight has been very good but i thought maybe it should have a bit more information on say the roles of a violinist or just more information in general.

I believe this article ought to be redirected to List of violinists. Info about Baroque violinist-composers can go in History of the violin, and that regarding fiddle hickeys can go in Playing the violin. Comments? __Just plain Bill (talk) 03:31, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
