Vinny Sullivan (born 19th April 1981 in Waterford) is an Irish football player who plays with Waterford United in the Eircom League First Division. He is an International cap for the under 17s.
A speedy striker, Vinny has caused many a defender problems since his move to Waterford United from Livingston in 2002. He left Dungarvan United for Celtic before moving to Livingston. He made an immediate impact as he helped the Blues to the First Division title in 2002, contributing thirteen goals in the process.
[edit] 2006
Sullivan spent the 2006 season with Cork City FC. Cork were defending the title they won in 2005 when Sullivan was scoring for Waterford Utd but Vinny did not play much. He left the club in December after coach Damien Richardson agreed to cancel his contract.
[edit] Back in Waterford
Vinny came back in Waterford but left Waterford United in 2005 (he had rejoined the club after his Cork contract was cancelled).
[edit] 2007
Sullivan found himself back in the Premiership with Waterford after Shelbourne were relegated. His first game turned out to be against Cork City. Even though he did not score Sullivan put in an excellent performance as his new team beat his old one by a single goal.
