[edit] Referenced webpage

The reference cited, [1] is a blog, whose info. wouldn't be considered reliable on first sight. But there are other websites out there that agree with the values in this blog and I cited this page since the alternative would be to cite multiple websites including "irrelevant" ones that give the area of the Orlando restaurant. Here are some "more authoritative" webpages:

  • [2] says the McDonald's in Orlando is 15,000 ft². Since this is a website about McDonald's in Orlando, I'd guess this can't be an underestimated value.
  • Google:Mcdonald's+29,135+Vinita gives a host of webpages that say the area of the McDonald's in Vinita is 29,135 ft² including some hits from [3] which appears to be the city's official website.
  • [4] and [5] say the one in Orlando is larger but still say the area of the one in Vinita is 29,135 ft², so I'd guess this value is also not an underestimate.

[edit] Oldest Permanent Settlement

"Vinita is the first permanent settlement in Oklahoma, being founded in 1871." This is an absurd statement. Many towns in Oklahoma were founded earlier than this, such as Tahlequah. The oldest permanent settlement is Salina, Oklahoma.

Agreed. I am removing the statements. Dsmdgold (talk) 20:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
