I've deleted the remark about the survival of the teaching depending on the Vinaya, because, as stated here, it's not correct in terms of the Pali version, which clearly states that survival depends on both scriptures nad rules of discipline. I'm not in a position to check the Chinese and Tibetan versions. Peter jackson 11:59, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
