Vile Imbeciles are a three-piece self-proclaimed "junk funk" and "death jazz" band from Brighton, England, formed in 2005 by Andy Huxley, formerly the guitarist of The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster. The band themselves claim to sound like, "That which is considered to be the supreme reality and to have the ultimate meaning and value of existence".

[edit] History
The band originally included Andy Huxley (guitarist and vocalist, formerly of The Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster), James Hair (lead bassist, formerly of Neils Children), and Bertie Lean (drums and vocals). Their debut album "...Ma" was released on 4th June 2007 on White Heat Records. The follow up single to this release "Slack Hands" was released on 18th June 2007. The band infrequently advertise shows, wishing to keep them low key and secret affairs, and the difficulty fans had in seeking out new single "Slack Hands" was because it was only sold at these secret gigs. The band have just finished recording their follow up album, the working title of which is "Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This. It Gets Worse." and guitarist and vocalist Andy Huxley hopes to "actually get somewhere with this one", though he also suggests that the new material is "a completely different style of music to the last, so we should be able to successfully alienate the handful of fans we've got".
In October 2007 the band announced that Caz Rospigliosi would be joining the band as lead guitarist and Andy would now become purely a vocalist. The band also posted four new songs on their MySpace page, Jennifer, Shoe God, Puncture Me In Touch Buster and The Empty Vessel. The bands touring schedule also picked up at the start of 2008 with dates around Brighton and London.
On June 11th the band announced the release of their second album, the album called 'Queenie Was A Blondie' is set for release on July 14th on Tea Vee Eye Records. The band also announced the first single from the new album, entitled 'Baddies' would be released on June 23rd.

[edit] Videos
The video for debut song "Slack Hands" was shot by Dave Ma in one take on a single roll of Super 8 film in Brighton. The video is in black and white and has a distinctly aged quality about it, the video is intentionally frozen and rewound at times which helps to reflect the jerky nature of the song.
