[edit] Not all the places are villages

It should be noted that a great many of the places named on this list are not strictly speaking villages - they are often just names on the map, scarcely even hamlets. It is unfortunate that a great deal of effort has been put into starting articles by taking the list mentioned at the head of this Category, withgout checking whether the places named are villages or not. Consequently we now have dozens (?) of articles saying "XXX is village in Kent" and nothing else. I suppose it adds to the number of articles written by the editor concerned, but makes for nonsense reading when no further information is added, as is usually the case, since it gives no locational or other information. Having spent a long time writing articles on Kent, and trying to be accurate, I find this extremely annoying. Peter Shearan (talk) 07:14, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
