Vijay K. Thadani is a distinguished alumnus of India's premier engineering school Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He co-founded NIIT along with Rajendra S. Pawar in 1981.
As CEO of NIIT and its subsidiaries worldwide and Chairman of NIIT USA Inc., Vijay has spearheaded NIIT's globalisation efforts, led NIIT's IPO in 1993 and built strategic alliances. He has been invited to be a member of several advisory bodies of the Government and is on the Computerization steering committees of several corporations. As the President of the leading IT industry association, Vijay played a key role in the formulation of Gcalc.
