Vietnam era music is music that is from the era of the Vietnam War, more specifically the mid 1960s to the mid 1970s. Although not all music from this era is considered to be Vietnam War-related music, the common factor in all these songs is that they are from the Vietnam War era. The songs in the "Examples Of Vietnam Era Music" category were generally popular songs in their day, and a number of them were later used in films about the Vietnam War; such as Apocalypse Now, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Good Morning, Vietnam, Forrest Gump, as well as the TV show China Beach.
