[edit] Viện

"Viện" is a classifier indicating that the noun being indicated is an institution, so it can be treated like an article in English. However, "bảo tàng" by itself means "to preserve", so while it can be understood that a museum is meant, it looks like a case of lazy writing (a recent phenomenon in Vietnamese). You mean to say that the actual name as it appears in Viet on the facade of the museum is poorly worded? That's shocking. Badagnani 06:21, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
It can be seen as poorly worded by purists (using verbs as nouns), but appears to be standard in modern Vietnam. DHN 06:23, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
