Talk:Video Genie
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hi, As I saw that the page had some wrong information I felt I had to do something. First the names were not right. The real name of the Video Genie was Video Genie System and the later models was Genie I and Genie II dropping both Video and System. I also added version information as EG3003 came in at least 3 different versions. Note also that there is no hyphen in the EACA codes. I added a link to my own website page too. I'll add a photo later and also add some specifications. Knutrl 15:52, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Great information, thanks! I made a few tweaks, if I broke anything please let me know. Fourohfour 11:51, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Changed back from "model" to "version" again; they have the same number (EG3003) so they are not different models IMHO... other than your changes were a great improvement. Knutrl 00:00, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Did try to use the infobox for computers but couldn't fit it with the information I wanted to have and it seemed to have some problems too. Changing it might break other pages so... maybe later. Knutrl 00:00, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Did read through my old Personal Computer World (PCW) magazines and gleaned some timing from them. This statement that Genie III came at the same time as Colour Genie must be wrong. Genie III was about half a year earlier than Colour Genie. Knutrl 17:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
Genie III, there seems to be very little real information about it. I have wondered if it is similar to the TRS-80 model 4P. If so it is compatible and belong in the table. If it is not compatible at all it should probably be taken out of the table and mentioned in a similar way as Colour Genie. Knutrl 17:13, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
