[edit] Backward?
I think it is inherently POV to call a place 'backward.' If by this, the author meant "technologically unadvanced" or "socially conservative" or "old-fashioned" or something like that, let's change it to that. I don't think there's any way to interpret 'backward' any anything but a negative way.--Hraefen 21:09, 22 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Article enrichment done till now
Till now I am very pleased with the progress done on this article. I have gathered most of the statistical data from various websites of government of India, census board of India, Maharashtra govt., and district websites. The header, though needs elaboration, is now looking to take shape. I would be soon adding more demographic details like religion, schedule caste, schedule tribe population in the region. As always, help is needed and you are welcome.
