From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vicki Breazeale, Ph.D. (born on December 29, 1949 in San Diego, California), known widely by her pseudonym "Dr. Bug", was the first person to describe the regulatory form of sedoheptulose 1,7 bisphosphatase. She is a founder of Great Wilderness, a California-based nonprofit entity dedicated to protecting wilderness as a means to maintaining Earth's natural functions for human survival. Through Great Wilderness, Vicki Breazeale works closely with Ecuador's Jatun Sacha Foundation and other partners. Vicki lives in Berkeley, California and teaches at New College of California in San Francisco, California and has recently written a children's book, Burrow Buddies, about a true symbiotic relationship between a toad and tarantula.
