VibeAgent.com is a web site based in the United States that combines a hotel travel search engine with user-generated hotel reviews and social networking. Launched in November of 2007, it aggregates hotel pricing information from over 30 travel websites through its meta-search engine and helps users book, research and exchange opinions about different hotels[1]. VibeAgent’s comparative pricing results are from online travel agencies, consolidators such as Hotels.com, and other sources such as large hotel chains.
The Washington Post named VibeAgent.com as one of Five Up-and-Coming Sites You Should Know About in February, 2008[2].
VibeAgent doesn't sell directly to the consumer; rather, it aggregates results from other sites then redirects the visitor to one of these sites for reservations. Thus, VibeAgent.com makes money from a Cost Per Acquisition advertising model, when the consumer is redirected to one of the compared websites (for example, when the consumer is redirected to the Hotels.com website), and eventually purchases their hotel reservation.
The company was established in 2006 and is headquartered in Charlottesville, VA.
