Vişeu de Sus (German: Oberwischau, Hungarian: Felsővisó) is a town in Maramureş County, northern Romania, located at the confluence of the Vişeu and the Vaser. It has an area of 443 km².

Its population is under 17,000. The town is in a hilly area, and most of the people live in the valleys:
- Ţipţerai and Valea Poieniţei
- Valea Vinului (1000 inhabitants)
- Valea Vaserului (800 inhabitants)
- Valea Peştilor (500 inhabitants)
- Valea Scradei (700 inhabitants)
- Vişeu de Mijloc (1900 inhabitants)
- Valea Botoaia, Arşiţa (500 inhabitants)
- Rădeasa (900 inhabitants)
