The Vestax MR66 is a 6 track multitrack recorder manufactured in the late 1980s through the early 1990s. It uses the compact cassette tape as its storage medium. It is unique as it features a built-in patchbay for easy and creative routing of audio signals. It originally retailed for 1,399 USD.[1] Despite its high-quality of build and professional sound, the MR66 has remained widely under-appreciated as a multitrack cassette recorder.
Zaza Energy recorded their record Walt on an MR66.
