Vermillion Township is one of eighteen townships in Appanoose County, Iowa, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 815.

Vermillion Township covers an area of 22.39 square miles and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains three cemeteries: Dale, Jewish and Thomas.
