Verlag Der Strom (The Stream Publishers) is a Christian publisher located in Stuttgart, Germany. The company's main objective is the distribution of the writings of Watchman Nee and John So within Europe.[citation needed]
Books, including the publisher's own translation of the New Testament[citation needed], are mainly printed in German, with a limited number of titles also made available in Arabic, Greek, Polish, English, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Czech, and Hungarian.[citation needed] French translations are published with the cooperation of Le Fleuve de Vie (Neuchatel, Switzerland)[citation needed], and in Italian by Il Fiume di Vita (Bolzano, Italy).[citation needed]
The group was originally organized as a subsidiary of Living Stream Ministry, in order to facilitate the publication of the writings of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee in Europe. However, some of the churches organized around the teachings of local churches, including the one in Stuttgart Germany, disassociated themselves from Witness Lee and the Living Stream Ministry in a letter dated September 17, 1989.[citation needed]
Since then, the company has continued to publish the writings of Watchman Nee, and begun the publication of books by John So, formerly one of Witness Lee's younger colleagues.
