The picture is used to illustrate Vera-Ellen's role as a leading Hollywood dancer by presenting her in one of her filmed dance routines with Fred Astaire, and the same screenshot has been used for a similar purpose in a leading printed critical study.
It is the only movie screenshot used in the article (as of August 2nd, 2006)
The resolution has been deliberately reduced to comply with Wikipedia's guidelines on the use of movie screenshots. It is rendered in black and white, while the original film is in color.
